peanuts, almonds..i have about 4 oz in little snack zip loc bags
apples+bananas are good simple carbs too for the afternoon
like 15 pieces of wheat thins work as well
at other times i make a crap load of sandwiches zip loc'd and ready to go at the beginning of each week
for awhile i had a crap load of salads too, just get those salad in a bag - i generally do half a bag each snack
