There is lots of misinformation appearing, due to so many ways that this modification can be done. Lots of people chiming in, but they have European cars and different coding. There is also people installing Euro lights on USA cars. There are also others installing USA lights on USA cars but making them work in European sequence.
My thread stands as USA lights on USA cars, with USA turn signal and brake light sequence. To this day there is no solution to what I describe in my initial guide. My welcome lights are just turned off in IDrive. I never get any errors, no errors at the dealer and I've been enjoying this mod a lot, and so are many people on this board.
Also member by the name GTATX found that solution, when with the key fob you can still turn on the Walk Me Home/Pathway lights, and I use that time to time if I want to see angel eyes and etc work upon opening my car. |
