The M5 and RS6 might be competitors in the sense that they are bidding for the attention of the same customer but they are completely different cars as to how they behave, the RS6 is by far the better daily driver, it's got the comfort, usability of the estate and quattro makes it easier to drive quickly......... but ultimately the M5 is the quickly machine everywhere be that on the straights or in the corners.

If you want the best performance car of the two you buy the M5 Comp but if you want the best allrounder you buy the RS6 and I'm willing to bet that it will be the one of the two which will command the most money come resale time too.
