I only use the navigation on the BMW. I have the previous generation 550 and find the navigation to still be very accurate. I like how the system shows you the upcoming exit ramps and a progress bar showing you when your exit or street is coming up under 800 ft away. Also, I have head up display and all guidance/speed and speed limit posting are all projected in front of me without having to take my eyes off the road. I've been spoiled all these years and whenever I drive a loaner vehicle or any vehicle without head up display, it feels like something is missing. The new iDrive interface is much faster and better esp the traffic information. Congrats on your new M5. I'm patiently awaiting mine.
