Yes, it's Jaguar/Land-Rover's corporate supercharged V8 they are referring to.
This sounds great, but they are only speculating right now. Nothing is confirmed about the XE getting the V8 yet. It would be a beast though, so let's see if they do it.
I think pricing is going to be one an issue though. Hard to justify undercutting all their other R products by tens of thousands if it gets the same 500hp+. I suspect they would have to either price it over $80k or keep power under 500hp. For these reasons, a V6 might win out instead.
