3M tape will not come pre-installed, reason being is we want (and prefer) to have clients get the diffuser installed at a body shop with an epoxy solution. You can use 3M tape like the Vorsteiner diffuser does, but every Vorsteiner install I've seen with double-sides tape leaves noticable gaps at the edges. This is logical considering how this tape has a minute level of cushioning that will always push the piece out. Having it molded provides 100% taut adhesion. It's a matter of preference really.
