I don’t agree with that comment. Many owners are running 275/35/20 front and 295/35/20 rear or 275/30/21 front and 295/30/21 rear. Mine are wider but the delta front to rear is almost identical.
Hockeytyme has the quickest M5 and runs 275/30 and 295/30.

BMW even has a recommended winter setup in 265/40/19 front and 285/40/19
Rear. If that would damage xdrive would they recommend it?
