You shouldn’t need brakes in 3 years. If you do, they shouldn’t cost more than $600

My e90 went 60k miles before I had to replace the front brakes. The rear brakes were still fine at 70k miles when the car was rear ended and totaled. It was a manual transmission though so the brakes lasted longer than an auto would have.

I changed the front brakes on the E90 in about half hour and it cost me $129 for the BMW OEM pads and sensors from BMW Seattle. I probably could have saved a few $ by getting them from getbmwparts.com or pelican
