F-Type is a two-seater so in that regard it faces the same challenges to make a case for itself as a good DD that a C7 does. However, it is saddled with the additional drawback of being priced very high for its performance. To get to the 500hp+ models (V8 S or R depending on roadster or coupe) you need to spend GTR or C2S like money, not to mention the coming C7 Z06/7 which will quite possibly be legendarily good. So now you are going against those cars to make your value equation balance out. To me the F-Type comes in overpriced by a good 25%. To justify it against what else is out there, you really do have to have a special desire for the leaping feline.
