I don't know if it's available separately. From my experience, the dealership tech removed it from the stock cap and placed it into the Weistec for me with no issues. Also, when I recently changed my oil, that piece pulled out of the housing with the old filter, so I had to separate it and place it back into the Weistec before I put the new filter in. It was not damaged, so I know it comes out. It just snaps into the bottom of the housing, whether stock plastic or aluminum Weistec.
