It really is a tough call. I'm definitely wanting hydraulic steering (or no power assist maybe) in this kind of a car but I'm also definitely wanting a good dual clutch like PDK. I didn't consider any other gearbox for my track focused car a few years ago and I'm still very glad about that.
I tend to let the curb weight be a deciding factor in a close contest like this.
The combo of dual clutch, hydraulic steering and N/A flat 6 was crucial so at this point I won't be moving away from the 10 year old 911 I have. When I add something else I'll probably still try to stick with hydraulic steering since it's the main thing I don't like about my M2
