Have you had a chance to drive an M235i by any chance? If you haven't, that should give you a really good idea of what to expect the M2, especially if you also get to drive an M3/4 too.
That's what made me excited about that car. I don't see how BMW can make it worst because I quite enjoyed the M235i (and it was an automatic too...), and they'll be adding some frankly awesome parts from the M3/4. It's one of those situations where it's almost impossible for them to screw up.
I'm not on any list myself. Going to wait and see and hope for the best.
