Thanks for the response! What I meant by Mr. 5 is that it has a whole in the airbox like that intake. It doesn't have a dedicated filter but it helps direct more air into the airbox. It wouldn't be there if that wasn't the case.

Yep - I found a use for an air scoop - inlet side of the turbo responds well to more air I agree but it seems like positive pressure more ie throttle is sharper with sealed lower box and DAS than with MPPK lower airbox and no scoop. To help, perhaps take a look at YT video by Evolve.
Stick with hole in the airbox fella, given its OEM for more intake noise an M2 !!!
