Oh it's the never ending how to break in the car question.

A forum member did ED for his F10 M5 and when asked the same question, they told him to drive it however he likes it.

I say just drive it however you like it, people by nature can't be trusted, if going over 4500rpm or 150km/h is really detrimental to the engine, BMW would have put a hard cap limit on it before the first service.
Agreed.

I'm still under the 1200 miles and I pushed my car to 5000 rpm several times and have even floored it to reach past 6000 rpm. Loved it!
