Also, will GPS signals penetrate the carbon fiber roof? (I know some have moon roof and metal roof). I have always had my escort radar detectors mounted up there at the roof line above the mirror, and they've never had any trouble getting GPS signal.

I have left mine in the center console on accident and it worked and another time it didn't. However, to make sure I'm getting a good signal I just put a small strip of velcro on the back of mine and I mount it on the backside of the infotainment screen.
