I had to replace the brakes of my M550i at 20k miles. And usually the way these cars are made now they have to change the rotors and brake sensors too in addition to replacing the pads. You are looking at $500 per brake. That's $2000 for all 4 including labor. Pretty sure it's more for the M5. I'm thinking of getting the M5 or M8 when my lease is up next year and I'm definitely getting the tire and brake package!
Got the brakes and wipers package for $700 on M5C and I drive it like it's supposed to be driven. Couldn't be happier! I was told the brake job is around $2500+.
