Does the discount offset the shipping cost back to the US ?
No shipping cost. You pay about 5% less than US MSRP for the car. Bmw ships car back for you and covers your insurance while you drive around in Europe. Dealers aren't always willing to negotiate a whole lot on the price of the car as it comes out of their allocation of M vehicles, but otherwise, it is a good excuse to take a European vacation and your discount can cover a good chunk of cost of your vacation. You also get discounted airfare and some perks at the Welt. The experience at the Welt is top notch. If you have the time to plan it out, it is awesome.
