Wow, sorry to hear. I'd wager the car is gone for good and headed overseas (Africa or Eastern Europe). Not sure there is anyway to trace once she goes "dark". Try BMWNA just in case.
This has happened a few times in NY/ NJ as well. I remember one forum member here had his car stolen while valeting, Customs later found it in a container headed to Angola.
