Front monoball conversions are not hard to make — you just put a standard lemforder or similar ball joint inside an insert sized to fit the suspension arm opening and use a retaining system such as ears and bolts. The Carbahn one should be just as good. For some higher volume BMWs there are more than 2 options, but the M5 mod market is fairly small.
