Because with CP itself, there is about 5% increase of horsepower to the transmission.
I would worry about the drive shaft first before the transmission.
I have seem a few with aggressive tune and R compound tires, twisted that drive shaft like a tooth pick.

It’s torque that counts and the CP has no more torque than the non-CP.
