I know just what you mean; over here we have speed cameras all over the place and police lurking in un-marked cars, often at night and on deserted stretches of open road at that. Absolutely nothing to do with the motorist being an easy target!!!!
Of course, I fully accept that it's illegal to break the speed limit, but where is it more dangerous to do so - on the open road or in residential areas where there are pedestrians including children and the elderly?
Next question: where do you never see a policeman? I reckon you know the answer to that .
