Thats weird. I put on Dr Beasley's sealant on the entire car before and after I installed the XPel coating and Im not seeing any noticeable sheen. Although of course you will see some shine when viewed at an angle. The frozen / matte coating doesnt absorb light at angles as it does when viewed straight. So that might be some of it... Also - if you buff too hard it might also result in the shine effect ...
