Objective is saving space in the trunk. if a compact spare wheel and tire can be found then keeping a spare in the truck is more practical.
I currently have a full size spare on a full size wheel. Cheap wheels in a full size are available...yes. The idea was a five inch wide wheel (compact spare) vs a eight inch wide one with the appropriate tire and about 40% space saving in the trunk.
