I know the interest and demand exists, with my own son's interest in the exhaust note in his M340i and aftermarket Meisterschaft in the prior MB C Class. I just don't "get" it personally, and the changing drone with each touch of the throttle actually is headache-inducing on a longer trip. I guess my own 228i would sound horrible to you as well, but with Sirius tuned to Real Jazz and the volume cranked, the exhaust note is just a part of the car that doesn't reach me. Again, I know this is a minority position on an enthusiast forum...am I completely solo on this?
