Probably not possible it's due to low fluid unless there is a leak in the system somewhere. If your pads were low you would be more likely to have the problem then, but when new pads are in the piston is compressed and that pushes all the fluid back into the reservoir. But still a good idea to check.

My guess would be a bad speed sensor or a broken connection somewhere. Either way MRF should be able to sort you out.
