the folding ext mirrors can be set in idrive for when car is locked, in conjunction or without comfort access ..
i dont have ipod/iphone so havent tried .. what is that dish-like connector tray next to the usb in center console? i-phone3? why do u need y-cable..?
i use usb for mp3 .. very good hahah .. now mp3 256-320kb near cd-like quality ..i am very satisfied
