I was always a "purchase and drive it into the ground" kind of guy.

Sold my e39 with 259,000 years ago and all I had to put in it was a half shaft.

That said, Euro cars don't have the reliability anymore.
EPA and turbos killed that.
Buy Japanese, Lease Euro.

I've leased the past two BMWs and won't look back. I look forward to getting a new color next May!

Also, I drive it as intended with track days and hard use.
One brake job was on me, but venturis, vent valves, CELs, and passenger seat sensors are on BMW.

And if you own a business or are self employed, you're picking up the business tax deduction. I don't pay a nickel when I pick up the car. Roll it all into the lease payment, tax, tags, fees, first month's payment. It's 50% off!
