Got the tyres fitted today and attach pics of rear pilot sport that came off and then new rear and front.

Today has been dry and cold (max 5.5 deg C). I have done 65 miles. My initial impressions:

1) Less noise (have driven on A, B and motorway)
2) The car "feels" stuck to the road
3) turn in from the front is precise and track well, whereas the sports sometimes pushed a bit
4) the rear feels like they are "digging" in when coming out of corners
5) I went round my favourite roundabout and floored it in second with all safety gizmos on and the intervention was less than with sports, telling me even with the low temp there is more grip

Clearly, the big test comes when it is wet and I will update on that when the opportunity arises (tomorrow according to forecast).

When the tyres were fitted I had a good look at them. The fronts seem to have wider tread pattern then sports, which gives me faith in wet ability. They felt really sticky too. On the car they look the absolute nuts.

So, I very happy considering the cold conditions. Goodness only knows what they will be like when it gets warmer!?
