For someone who is a retired BMW genius, you don't seem to know that much of the brand. A carbon-fibre roof will be a no cost option, just like on the "normal" M5. Why remove the option of having a sunroof for a model just because it is named "competition"?
Offering a sunroof on an M5 makes perfect sense, not only are the loss in performance or driving dynamics close to none, it is a family car after all. I'd rather question why there are convertible versions of 911:s instead, a car that is supposedly a sports car
