Easiest question ever. If I could go back it would be to that December day in 2015 when I was moving my Moto Guzzi in the garage to change the oil. One foot slipped, I lost my balance, and the bike started to go over. It leaned over almost to the point of the mirror touching the floor. Instead of just letting it drop I used 110% of my low back strength to pull the bike back up to upright.
2 days later I was flat on my back unable to move in excruciating pain. Ruptured a disc at L4/L5. Months of PT and chiro and a scary moment where I realized I was craving my next Tramadol dose, and I was 90% pain free. It will never be 100% and occasionally I do something dumb and it flares up again, taking me out for a couple days to a couple weeks.
Looking back, I should have just dropped the bike on the floor and paid the $200 for a new mirror and clutch lever.
