The engines arent laid out the same. Intakes look completely different. The inner circles is where it connects to the intake. The outer circles are the engine braces it connects literally right through the middle of. |

That is the 2017-2019 m550i. They switched it in 2020 with the N63TU3 motor. The picture I posted above is the new layout. I believe the intake and airbox layout is the same as the S63T4 motor (2018+ m5) or very close to it. |
I had a feeling that's what happened. Then ya it looks like it would probably work.
That's weird though cuz my picture is even the same one still on BMW website for the M550i and even when I searched 2021 M550i it's the same picture.
