beta, i have sound deadened my trunk with one layer of dynamat extreme and another layer of ensolite. the areas i applied a layer of each to were the main trunk floor directly above the mufflers and on the flat floor right next to the battery stump. i have a coupe though which does account for noticeable differences as compared with a roadster, but u would definitely have to sound deaden a lot more than just the trunk (in my case) if you're looking to eliminate road noise.
i'd go with the suggestion of quieter running tires if tt is a viable option.
