It's funny, you make a great point!!! I guess it comes down to either pay now or pay later lol. But either way it's not an egregious waste. I had a 2009 AMG CLK and no joke over 36 months, zero racing or being aloof I went thru 6 rims and 10 tires. So I won there. Next car was a GLK TRUCK, I had the insurance, 39 months and nada! Mercedes got me on that lol.
But I think these 18s are $400 a rear tire, $350 a front and God knows what a rim is. I think I'm going to do it!
