Yes, it basically looks the same as the inside of the wheel earlier in the thread who's car did not have the driver assist.

However, there is an additional cut out missing as well, circled. My 2019 Comp wheel had 2 cut outs, 1 for the driver assist module, 1 for the heated wheel button.

While the heated wheel cut out would be easy to modify on your own, since there is no heating element, there is no point. But if you plan to use the trim from the current base or comp m5 with heated wheel, you'll need to do something to fill the hole where the button for heated wheel was located. What I did was disconnect the button from the module (they're 1 unit) then trim the 3 plastic spike looking things left on the button. then while I was reassembling the wheel, I slid the button into place. Otherwise you'll have a hole. Button is inoperable of course, and doesn't move now as I kind of trimmed as little as possible to make sure it wasn't jiggling around.

as for the other module, I dont think it would be too difficult to get a razor blade and dremel to cut out the module hole for the driver assist. its may 1/2 to 3/4 inch deep, maybe 1.5-2 inches long. And the foam/plastic material is relatively pliable, so it doesn't have to be exact. Just make it barely big enough to fit the module and youd be fine I suspect.

Unless there was a different option, or somewhere else to stick the module. ****EDIT**** Actually just realized even cutting out a spot for the module wouldn't do anything either. The actual wheel has sensor in it for the driver assist as well for hand detection. So theres actually 2 wires coming out of the wheel, heating element , and the hand detection, which plugs in to the module that goes in the hole.

I will say its odd BMW wouldn't just mold 1 wheel internals for all the cars. it didn't appear like it would affect anything leaving those spots empty on the cars with out the options. and the cars that do have those options have the spot for the module.

The other photo is a screen shot of the wheel earlier in the thread, it has the cut out for heated wheel, circled, like my comp one but is missing the cut out for other module.

But what do I know? Im no engineer. :-)
Wonder if coby could make one like this with the holes in the suede. I mean that's what we're talking about in the end.
