I bought my 18 M5 in August of 2018, I currently have just under 9,800 miles. I have the original Pirellis on the vehicle. I still have plenty of tire tread left, they are quiet, and handle great. As you can tell from the mileage the M5 is not my everyday driver. I have a work vehicle assigned to me that I take home from work. I do not track the M5 but I do some spirited driving. For those of you are from San Diego County and are familiar with Palomar Mountain, there are a series of sharp 180 degree sweeping turns going from the base to the top. The M5 with Pirellis handle it with no drama.
I have only owned one vehicle that chewed through the rear tires and that was my 1992 Acura NSX, at 7,000 miles the tires were almost bald.
