But do those cars/manufacturers develop their own DCTs or are they supplied by a transmission manufacturer like BMW's DCT from Getrag (?) If they are supplied then the excuse of not being able to handle torque isn't accurate because everyone is using a variation but developing your own (Mercedes develops their own transmissions IIRC) to be able to handle torque is obviously totally different.
