I can plot HP/Ton and it would probably bring another point, which is how as cars have gotten heavier engines have gotten larger and more powerful and in the process less efficient. I just enjoy a light small sports car that handles well, with the right amount of power and does not break my wallet every time I go to the pump (as I would use it as daily driver). Again it's all a matter of personal taste.

Hate to break it to you but the 1M isn't exactly a light sports car. Its ~3300 lbs.
Also the current E9x S65 8 is lighter then the E46 S54 6.
