Is this normal on newer bmws? Have they changed the coding system? Or are there software updates? Can this be fixed from 2 steps to 1 step.

l asked my dealership and they were not aware of this situation and they are going to ask bmw Germany, it's been 2 weeks of waiting.

The auto hold on my 2022 Z4 acts like scenario #2. I have to give the brake pedal another deeper push after I stop.
