My Apple CarPlay (let's call it CarPay
) expired. So I decided, WTF, I will renew for $80 and see how it goes. Tried to renew. No deal, nothing happens. Call BMWConnected (the guys that want my money for a free app) and they say there are compatibility issues with CarPlay renewal and tell me.... here's a free 30 days till we get our shit together. I say fine. Still no CarPlay. 5 phone calls later, still no CarPlay. They say I need to go take car in (for a freakin app) and do a software update at the dealer. WTF? Not sure its worth it at this point. Is this happening to anyone else? Did the update at the dealer fix it? Thanks.
