Sure. Unless your using a pad with odd chemistry. (Dust from Hawk Blues turn to concrete if wet and allowed to dry...)

It's not that they are low abrasive they just have lower operating temperatures. They pickup and deposit in different ranges of temperature. Below temp and they friction abrade, at temp they add chemical bonding to the braking action. Above temp and you don't stop well...

Best practice is a proper cool down lap with as little brake use as possible.
