I disabled the HUD on my F10 for a couple of days and quickly got used to it, although the exact speed read out in your vision is useful. I am betting on the fully digital dashboard on the new model being more than adequate... And used the saved €1500 to upgrade the audio system instead!
It does annoy me that the Volvo S90 has most of the active safety systems as standard whereas they are quite expensive options on the Beemer.. And the B&W audio costs about €5800 here versus €3700 on the Volvo....but couldn't make the change of brand after 20 years in the rear wheel drive car, particularly as Volvo now offers four cylinder cars only.
