Guys, yes tirerack is great....but I have found local tires shops very willing to compete and done this at least 3 times.

For example, tirerack's price for my required set was $685 to my door. Then you have to pay someone local to install em. Figure another $70ish? So total ~$755.

However, I called the local tire shop and requested an apples to apples comparison. First price they gave was $790. I told them I was price shopping them against tirerack and advised I'd like to do business with them, but to make it work they need to sharpen the pencil. The shop came back with an offer of $710 installed out the door, a 10% discount and lower cost than if I went direct to the tirerack.

So my advice....Guys, use tirerack to help you price shop, but give the local guys a fair chance to compete!!!
