Taking off mirror housing was pretty easy, taps went in well. tested before i put everything back together and worked perfectly. After putting back the housing cover turned on car and detector wasn't powering on. Took off cover again to find that one of the pin had come unseated - assume during putting on housing cover? any rate, pin broke as I took it out, thankfully it didn't break inside the wire harness. Figured I'll have to order a new tap so put everything back together.

Got a second Mirror tap today, and again the leads broke. Ugh. Just ordered the hardwire and am going to hardwire to the fuse box.
I've been in the fuse box under the glove box, is there a fuse box on the drivers side? seems like it would be easier to run wires to that side??
