Not sure why? Maybe wanted her options open. The first few months I was like meh, whatever, I’m dating her so that’s cool.

Some people are unrealistic in their goals and expectations. She wanted the security of dating someone, and the "cool factor" of being a swinging single. That's some really childish and self-centered behavior.
