I don't know your particular circumstances, but my suggestion would be, if it is within your means, to try to get a new M5.
Been in M5's for 20 years at this point and I've seen quite a number of horror stories buying used.
I've also seen forum members put cars with serious issues on swap a lease and unload the problem on an unsuspecting owner.
The only guarantee is buying new IMO ...
