I can also confirm they are, unfortunately I found out the wrong way. I hate the stock wheels and when I got my new wheels I asked the tyre mob to swap out the pressure monitors from the OEM wheels and fit them to the new wheels - they broke one. It was $190 from BMW Brighton so not sure how you were quoted $250 "trade"... (the tyre mob paid, btw, they were really embarrassed and did everything to fix it quickly).

I find when dropping pressure on track they flag low pressure but I got a Schwaben OBDII diagnostic tool and can quickly wipe the error and prevent limp mode or anything like that. Incidentally, the Schwaben has a caliper release mode for track pad changes. Makes changes very easy .
