Are the sensors actually located on the wheels for Australian delivered cars? I was under the impression that's only in the US and our cars utilise the abs sensors or something?

Yes they are mate, I've just confirmed it with my dealer.
They were $250 per sensor through bmw on a trade account.
I just purchased them from the states for $280 AUD shipped for the set of 4.
