With my wife X5 due in march with the wireless setup, I was informed by genius folks the connection to the outside antenna is also maintained.
One details to check, on the X5 the wireless option is inside the armrest console and not like the g30, hence maybe different when down to the antenna connection, if not possible with the front exposed wireless charging G30 option, you should be in a position to add/fit the wireless charging in the arm rest with connection to antenna just like the 2017 X5 version and 7 series.
