Oops, you're right... it's not window film. It's much thicker, I would guess 2mm thick. Eh, the guys installing were young and probably didn't worry about it too much. Because I've still got a good chunk of the "cherry red" lense color required by law, I had thought it wouldn't be a big deal.

He told me I could not use typical window film (for exterior application), not to mention he wouldn't touch the project with a 15-foot poll in fear of state regulations. I'd personally like to go a bit lighter, as are my windows. I love yours but I'm too much of a *P* to risk attracting law enforcement. Had enough of that in my younger years.
