Think about it: everything is halved:

1. You have half the intake plumbing
2. You have half the exhaust plumbing
3. You have half the number of turbochargers and their supporting hardware such as coolant and oil lines

For one, you *should* have more space in the engine bay to work with, less plumbing to deal with. The fuel pump is the same as the one used in N54 engines.

So, *theoretically* it should be easier from hardware stand point to upgrade the turbo on the N55. Now, software wise, noone really knows but I have high confidence in the tuners.
